Join Dolphin Research Australia, the Byron Bay Hope Spot crew, and the NSW Marine Sanctuary Alliance for a FREE screening of OCEAN with David Attenborough at the Brunswick Picture House. After seven decades filming every aspect of the natural world, David Attenborough delivers his greatest message of hope in this powerful documentary. It takes viewers on a breathtaking journey, showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival — more full of life, wonder, or surprise — than the ocean.
In the film, the celebrated broadcaster and filmmaker reveals how his lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests, and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why ocean recovery is vital for stabilising our climate and securing a healthier future for us all. He explains how marine protection — if immediately implemented — can help turn the tide.
After the film, you’ll hear from local Ocean Champions and discover how you can be part of the solution at the grassroots level through the Byron Bay Hope Spot Ocean Champion program.
We’ll also have special guests, talks, raffles, and prizes to be won — all in celebration of our shared ocean and the inspiring movement to protect it. Come and support our local grass-roots ocean conservation programs and be part of the solution.

TICKET PRICES
This event is free of charge and seating is General admission unallocated seating. However, you are required to register to secure your tickets for this event. You may not be able to attend if you arrive without having pre-registered as seating quantities are limited. Limit of 4 tickets per customer. Please be sure to register for everyone attending, including children.
